Maze Adventure: learn through an example

Bring your attention to one round of Maze Adventure. Move into the exit at the bottom right. The game counts the steps you take. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Check the rule that explains your first action. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.

Take a closer look while playing

Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board. Refer to the controls when needed.

Understand the aim

Move into the exit at the bottom right. The game counts the steps you take. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. Return to the instructions when a step is unclear.

Follow these playing steps

  1. Start from the upper-left cell.
  2. Move through openings using arrow keys or direction buttons.
  3. You may also tap a neighbouring cell connected by an open passage.
  4. Reach the gold exit or generate a new maze.

Input guidance

Arrow keys, on-screen direction buttons, or a click/tap on an adjacent reachable cell. Keep the playing area visible while using these controls. Avoid pressing the same control repeatedly while a move is being processed.

See how the rules apply

If a wall blocks the cell to your right, try another opening; the token cannot move through walls. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Check the stated objective.

A useful caution

Only immediately adjacent cells can be reached in one move. Check the rule before repeating the action. Locate the buttons and input area before beginning a long round. Use the on-screen labels to avoid an accidental restart.
