How to play Bubble Shooter

Choose a round of Bubble Shooter and settle into its rules. Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. Use the example below to understand a decision. Read the objective before making your first input. Look at what changes after your first action.

Original hexagonal matching board and bouncing projectiles.

Take a closer look while playing

Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use. Notice the feedback after each input.

The goal to keep in mind

Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. Try to explain the aim in your own words.

The playing sequence

  1. Aim and fire.
  2. Attach bubbles to the cluster.
  3. Groups of three or more equal colours disappear.
  4. Floating groups drop; five misses lower the ceiling.

Making selections and moves

Pointer/touch aim, angle controls and Fire. A careful first action helps you become familiar with the layout. Avoid pressing the same control repeatedly while a move is being processed.

See the idea in action

Removing one support can drop a larger mixed-colour group below it. Use the example as a guide rather than a substitute for reading your board. Check the stated objective.

Avoid this misunderstanding

Contact with a different colour is not a match. Compare the situation with the worked example. When a decision goes wrong, compare it with the common mistake described below. Start again only when you intend to leave the current round.
